The Quechee Scottish Games and Festival

St. Andrew’s Society of Vermont has been involved with the Quechee Games since their inception in 1972. It was at the first games that the formation of the society was conceived.

The event is held on the fourth Saturday in August, rain or shine in Hartford, Vermont. It features pipe bands, a parade of Clans, Highland dancers, sheepdog demonstrations, children’s and adult’s athletic events, live music, plus American and Scottish food specialties, craftspeople, and vendors.

SASVT is proud to be a sponsor every year. At the 2023 event SASVT had a tent and encouraged visitors to stop by to say hello, have a snack, and learn more about the St. Andrew’s Society of Vermont.

For more information about the festival and the history of the Quechee Scottish Games and Festival, read the cover story by Eileen von Gal and Molly Shimko in from Fall 2023 issue of The Quechee Times.
